Lillie has now had winer squash, sweet potatoes, pears, peas and apples. She likes them all a lot but she seems to really have a taste for the apples. We feed her at the table while we eat dinner so that she feels like she is a part of the meals. She loves it! Tonight, she grunted and squealed and kicked for more food with her little mouth open like a baby birdie.

We gave her a big chunck of peeled apple yesterday and today so that she can gnaw on it. It doesn’t break up at all, but she likes drooling on it, rubbing it on her gums, getting some sugary licks and generally feeling like she’s eating. It is the shape and color of a finger, but it tastes better and doesn’t say “oww”.

She seems to have an insatiable appetite, so we call her Lillie of the Shire, because she eats like her daddy, a hobbit.
