Lillie vs Daddy
When you’re a new baby you really can’t do a lot. Moving is pretty hard and you can’t say anything. You have to go where your parents take you and you don’t even get to pick out your own clothes. One thing you can do well though, is poop.
Lillie has discovered this and her favorite game is to make a mess while Daddy is trying to change her. She gets me by being so good and cooperative most of the time, then waiting until I’m bleary eyed changing her at 4:30 in the morning. Then she nails me and poop ends up everywhere.
I hate getting bested by anyone — particularly by a one-month old — but I have to admit that she has my number. Here are some pictures of her having her diaper changed, just so I can remember it forever…

Mind you this is not just Lillie vs. Daddy. There are other people affected by their battle– like me. I’ve had to wash the sheets three times this week. One might say, “It’s not that bad and you know she’s going to do it again, just deal with it for another night.” But to me, sleeping in baby poo is the ultimate sign one has let themselves go, and I’m not really ready to throw in the towel on that fight just yet. So thanks Lillie for being so comfortable with us that you would continually do this, and thank you Shad for falling for it every time.
Wait, the carpet cleaning man is also affected by this.
